BASi is a drug development firm providing contract research services and unique products for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

The compliance voltage and maximum current of BASi PC-controlled potentiostats are 12 V and 100-200 mA. These are more than sufficient for most voltammetry experiments, but may not be adequate for controlled potential electrolysis experiments. The PWR-3 Power Module supplies up to 1 A with a compliance voltage of 85 V, and can be used either as a current and compliance voltage booster for other BASi potentiostats or as stand-alone potentiostat for constant potential experiments (i.e., it has no potential scanning capabilities). Another advantage of the PWR-3 is the unique design of the current-to-voltage converter, which eliminates the potential loss at the working electrode caused by high current through the lead wire.
