BASi Column Temperature Controllers
LC-22C Temperature Controller: BASi offers
two formats of column temperature control based on our modular LC-22C controller. This device offers the advantage of being able to
control and monitor two independent heating devices at the same time. It can be combined with one or two LC-23A heater blocks to
control the temperature of traditional 15, 25 or 30 cm stainless steel LC columns. When used with one or two LC-23C heaters, the
LC-22C controls the temperature of two to four 10 or 15 cm columns.
Operation of the LC-22C is simple. Select the temperature for each heater from ambient to 85°C from the set-point controls. The temperature is displayed on a single line LED display. Cycle through the set point and the actual temperature for each heater by rotating the display select button.
LC-23C Column Heater: The LC-23C will accommodate most common 10 cm and 15 cm columns. Both a pre-column and analytical column can be heated in the dual chambers. The LC-23C can be mounted in a hinged compartment also used for BASi modular chromatographic analyzers and electrochemical detectors. |

Users of these instruments can upgrade to column temperature control with a version of the LC-23C which slides through the back panel of the CC-5e cabinet. |
LC-23A Column Heater: A number of
commercially available column heaters fail to heat end-fittings or provide inadequate metal-to-metal contact for heat transfer. This
results in significant temperature gradients along the column, resulting in poor temperature control. The LC-23A was the first
instrument to fully address these problems. It is machined from a solid aluminum block which fully encloses the column, endfittings,
and a preheater. It is suitable for use with Biophase, PHASE II or other 15, 25 and 30 cm traditional stainless steel columns. A solid
metal insert fills the cutout when longer columns are used and insures continuity of a heated metal contact. An outer cover acts as an
insulator. The LC-23A takes up minimal bench space and can also be mounted vertically.
