The BASi toxicology laboratory is an AAALAC-accredited facility located on a 52-acre rural campus in southern Indiana. With an exemplary regulatory history and a combination of dedicated and experienced staff plus state-of-the-art facilities and on-line data acquisition, BASi provides clients with fast, reliable, preclinical in-life and pathological data in compliance with GLPs and other federal guidelines. Clinical pathology, analytical chemistry, and histopathology laboratories offer in-house assessment of biological samples and test articles.
On-site capabilities include
The results from the Bayer Advia 120 and 1650 instruments and the Diagnostic Stago compact analyzer are interfaced into the validated state-of-the-art ToxData computer system.
Fully equipped necropsy suites are adjacent to a high volume histopathology laboratory with QC support. The laboratory is staffed with experienced, certified histology technicians who have the training and capability to provide special stains of tissues.
Contracts with Experimental Pathology Laboratories (EPL) provide a board-certified (Diplomate, ACVP) veterinary (DVM, PhD) pathologist on site. This also allows BASi to draw on the total pathology resources of EPL when needed for high workload periods and for expedited requests.
